A Palestinian man with Russian citizenship, detained earlier this month in Gaza, has been released by the Israeli authorities after being questioned over the kidnapping of an Israeli soldier.
During 20 days of imprisonment, Sami Abu Snain says he was interrogated for hours regarding involvement in the kidnapping of Corporal Gilad Shalit last year.
Sami Abu Snain became a Russian citizen in the late 1990s while studying at the Medical Academy in the Southern Russian city of Krasnodar. He later moved to Gaza with his Russian wife.
He was detained by Israeli troops during a raid three weeks ago.
Israeli forces say militants crossed into Israeli through a tunnel, dug in a plot of land belonging to Mr Snain.
Sami Abu Snain denies the allegations, saying they were groundless as he sold the land three years ago.
