Russian kidnapped in Nigerian gunfight

The fate of a Russian citizen, who has been kidnapped along with six others in Nigeria, is still unknown. A militant group demanding autonomy for the Niger Delta region has claimed responsibility but has not made any ransom demands.
Over 300 rebels attacked an offshore oil field belonging to Royal Dutch Shell.
A Russian, Croatian and a Briton as well as four Nigerians were seized after a three-hour gunfight.
In June, six Russians were kidnapped in Nigeria, and released after several weeks in captivity.
