Russian UN helicopter shot down in Liberia

The United Nations cargo helicopter which crashed in Liberia, killing three Russian nationals, was shot down, according to the aircraft's owners. The MI-8 helicopter was carrying out a regular flight when it went down in the north-east of the country last
The airline company says an investigation committee is being created to look into the incident.
All three crew members were part of the UN peacekeeping mission in Liberia. It was established in 2003 to support the implementation of the ceasefire agreement that ended many years of civil war.
