With Easter Sunday approaching, Christians spend the last remaining days in intense prayer, remembering Christ's suffering. Easter eggs are painted in bright colours, usually red, representing the blood of Christ and resurrection.

Maundy Thursday is known as the day of the Last Supper, when Jesus brought new teachings to his disciples, and washed their feet as a sign of love and humility. The night that follows is the time when Jesus was betrayed by Judas.
