Russia’s capital marks City Day

Moscow is celebrating its 861st birthday this weekend with organisers planning to hold more than 5,000 festive events.
Most of them will take place in the city centre, including a students’ parade, various streets performances and sporting competitions.
Moscow was founded in 1147 by Prince Yury Dolgoruky.
