Russia’s capital marks City Day
Published 6 Sep, 2008 01:49 | Updated 6 Sep, 2008 05:49Moscow is celebrating its 861st birthday this weekend with organisers planning to hold more than 5,000 festive events.
Most of them will take place in the city centre, including a students’ parade, various streets performances and sporting competitions.
Moscow was founded in 1147 by Prince Yury Dolgoruky.
