For students across Russia, Tatyana's Day is party time because it falls at the end of the winter exams.
To mark the occasion, First Deputy PM and presidential candidate Dmitry Medvedev paid a visit to Moscow's State University. He met with students and was treated with mead, which is traditional on Tatyana day. He then ladled out the drink to the crowd.
Medvedev was also shown the ins and outs of student life when he was given a tour around the halls of residence.
