Trial over Hermitage theft ends with five-year term sentence
The Dzerzhinsky district court has found Nikolay Zavadsky guilty of stealing 77 exhibits from the Hermitage museum last August. He has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Last summer an annual inventory at the museum showed 226 exhibits were missing. 31 of them have already been returned and investigators are currently looking for suspects who stole the other 159 exhibits.
