Two die in Chechnya shootout

Authorities in Southern Russian Republic of Chechnya report that one federal soldier has been killed and two others wounded in a shootout with a militant.
The incident took place when a car was stopped at a security checkpoint and its driver started shooting.
The militant was killed in the exchange of fire that followed.
Police said the attacker could be a participant of an unlawful armed group wanted for a chain of terror acts.
A grenade launcher, home-made explosives, grenades and fake car plates were found when the car was searched.
