UN to vote on new Iran sanctions

The UN Security Council has met to discuss a draft resolution which could see a third round of sanctions placed on Iran because of its nuclear programme. A vote on the resolution is expected Saturday.
The resolution could be put in place because of Iran’s failure to comply with the previous two.

“Our hope is that Iran will find it possible to make a step also in the direction of the international community,” he said.
