U.S. to veto Russia’s proposal for further Kosovo talks

The United States will veto Russia's proposal to the United Nations to continue talks over the status of Serbia’s breakaway province of Kosovo, according to the U.S. Ambassador to the UN. Zalmay Khalilzad said the U.S. does not agree with Russia and belie
The announcement comes as the UN Security Council and the so-called Troika of the U.S., EU and Russia start discussions on whether to continue the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo.
The province’s capital Pristina insists on full independence, while Belgrade is only willing to offer the province broad autonomy.
Russia says the solution should be acceptable to both sides.
