2009 is unlikely to see any resolution in Russia-U.S. arguments over America’s anti-missile defense plans in the Czech Republic and Poland.

That is according to John Isaacs, Executive Director of the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation in Washington D.C.

There is still a lot of distrust, but I think things are moving in the right direction. President Obama is likely to take seriously Russia's valid concerns about missiles in Eastern Europe. That is the main sticking point, as I see it.
