Opposition blogger blames authorities for defaced twitter

The popular Russian protest leader and anti-corruption blogger Aleksey Navalny has blamed federal investigators for hacking into his twitter account and hijacking it with obscenity and fake confessions.

Navalny claimed that unidentified persons had hacked his email account and through it, his twitter, followed by over 250,000 subscribers. At the time of publication the account apparently remained beyond its owner’s control as it was filled with bad language and false admissions that the blogger was cooperating with the authorities. Navalny made the announcement through his blog on a different platform, Livejournal, about 20 minutes after the first fake tweet appeared.

The blogger went on to say that it was ‘obvious’ that the hackers used data obtained from computers seized from him by the agents of the Central Investigation Committee who searched Navalny’s apartment on June 11 within the probe of the blogger’s complicity in street unrest.

The Investigative Committee – a recently founded agency that resembles the US FBI – quickly replied that Navalny’s claims were completely untrue. “The mentioned items were checked by investigators in the presence of official witnesses and after the check they were packed and sealed according to official instructions,” reads the Committee’s official statement. “Any access of unauthorized persons to the seized computers, their unauthorized use or transfer to a third party are completely out of the question,” the agency said.

The Investigation Committee also warned that Navalny’s accusations would be perceived as pressure and attempts to influence the investigation process.

Investigators suspect Navalny of organizing unrest during the mass protest actions on May 6. Police searched his apartment on June 11 along with the apartments of other opposition figures such as leftist politician Sergey Udaltsov and ‘It girl’ Kseniya Sobchak. However, so far all major opposition figures are only listed in the case as witnesses and investigators have only pressed charges on people involved in riots.

Change the location to the West and that what I have had to put up with since I started to critise the US and Israel. Taken out completely about 12 times.viruses and Trojans deposited=computer taken over several times.emails containing Vile language sent out .Making one email service bar me. Post directed at RT same language .Causing RT to stop me posting !! had to tell RT the REAL situation =contacted the email service that blocked me =I did get an apology from them.When I told them.but never went back to them..I was talking about this when another posters said in one sentence=Microsoft depositers of viruses with a link I dont click links for obvious reasons.I coudnt believe that a World monopoly as big as this would do that. they are supposed to be "above board" I checked every up date and noticed that most of my basic settings had been changed to stop me having ANY control of my PC.and when powering up it wouldnt get passed POST or BOOT.It gave me endless trouble and WHY because I criticise the US and Israel The power of this ""hacking" is the same as a ISP But I still find it hard to grasp that a MAJOR company like Microsoft would do this.If true this is "front page news" worldwide I would appreciate ANY information one way or the other.Intelligent posts only please

Even this description is false and a pro Navalny propaganda. A better description would be a hated and despised by many who have heard of this 'blogger' and a corrupt racist radical. Why is RT promoting Navalny, who is a western plant, trained at Yale and funded by NED and oligarchs?

I wonder again and again, why RT has no lack of resources to cover Navalny's every sneeze, but I am yet to see anything from many patriotic forces of Russia. Why is RT live streaming from anti-Putin rallies, but ignores protests against liberal reforms and WTO entry? Despite my numerous warnings, RT ignored major rally that took place on june 17 in opposition to WTO entry and many of the liberal reforms planned by government. There will be another rally on July 1 in opposition to WTO and I wrote to RT editors about it, but I am afraid RT will ignore it again. Navalny, P*ssy Riot, Khodorkovsky and other anti-Russian radicals get all the attention, but I am yet to see a word about Essense of Time movement that is leading anti-WTO protests, not from Sergey Kurginyan, not from Nikolay Starikov and party New Great Russia, not from Leontyev or many other partiotic Russians. Why is RT so focused on white ribboners at expense of everyone elese?
