Peter,

I have a criticism. You cut your guests off abruptly without warning when you go to commercial breaks and at the end of the program. It is irritating to viewers who are interested in hearing the end of the guest's sentence, and it is rude to the guest. What makes this worth commenting on is this: after you interrupt the speaker and go to break, there is about 30 seconds or more of soft music before either the commercial or the next program. The viewers would much prefer to hear the guest complete his point than to listen to the theme music.

In other words, there would have been ample time to allow the speaker to complete the sentence. From my perspective, it appears that the guest speaker is caught completely unaware that his time to speak was about to run out. Perhaps you could say to him, 10 seconds, or allow him to see a light or signal which alerts him to the need to wrap up his point.

This would make for a much better program, and would likely lead to better relations between you and your guests.
