President Vladimir Putin has met the leader of Russia's Communist party, Gennady Zyuganov, to discuss preparations for the Parliamentary election in December.
Mr. Zyuganov says the party has prepared a package of laws to submit to the State Duma and informed its members on the work it's doing.
Polls suggest around 18% of voters currently would support the Communist party in December’s election.
Mr. Zyuganov said its list of candidates will be confirmed on Saturday.
President Putin is holding sessions with representatives of all major political parties ahead of the election.
