Interview with Evgeny Bazhanov

Published 27 Feb, 2008 07:15 | Updated 27 Feb, 2008 10:15

Evgeny Bazhanov, Vice president of the Diplomatic Academy in Russia, discussed the four presidential candidates with RT.

“Medvedev is a favourite, he is intended to go on with the current president's policy. As for foreign policy he wants to have good relations with the East, with the West, with the CIS countries. Gennady Zyuganov, in my opinion, is a bit nostalgic about the Soviet practices in foreign policy. As for Vladimir Zhirinovsky and Andrey Bogdanov, I think their social and economic programmes don't go beyond just general phrases,” Bazhanov said.
