Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni warned that the Jewish state may launch another military operation, unless Iran stops smuggling weapons into the Gaza Strip.
“Iran must be made aware that the weapon smuggling to Syria, Lebanon and Hamas constitutes a severe violation of international agreements, and must cease,” Livni said.
She added: “If the weapons smuggling to Gaza continues Israel will have no other option than to initiate another defensive operation.”
Israel started military offensive in Gaza Strip on December 27, saying it wanted to stop missile attacks from the territory controlled by the radical faction Hamas. 1,300 Palestinians lost their lives during the conflict, which led many countries to criticize Israel.
Meanwhile Palestinian militants fired two rockets on Wednesday at Israel's territory. Israeli aircraft struck seven tunnels in the southern Gaza town of Rafah several hours later in response, the Israeli military said.

Georgia marks Sovietization DayOn February 25, Georgia marks ‘Sovietization Day’. Introduced in the early 1990s, the holiday has recently acquired a slightly different sense. |
Nadia and Iransucks, you are spectacluarly ignorant of history to the point that one must ask if you should really be burdening us with your vapid and tiresome opinions. How would you like someone stealing your land and livelihood and killing your friends and families based on a selective (some might say 'twisted') reading of a historical text, over the course of 60 years? Maybe you would fight back? There can be no justification for terrorists targetting civilians, but only a raging hypocrite would fail to apply the same moral judgement to a nation such as Israel, who's leaders are guilty over the last 60 years of mass murder, the deliberate targetting of civilians, a complete disregard for international law, the illegal annexation of Palestinian land, illegal blockades and many illegal military actions. Would you just take 60 years of land grabs, bombings, shootings, racism, murder, ghetto-isation and flagrant breaches of international law? Or would you fight back? Can you say you would carry on life peacefully and with dignity, as the vast majority of Palestinians have? And Israel doesn't protect from terrorism, they are actually responsible for the radicalisation of many young men by their continued abuse of the Palestinian people: they have done more to further 'terrorist' causes then anyone else by fuelling the fires of injustice. In short, you have both been heavily propagandised and mislead, leading you to make intellectually redundant arguments that betray either an extreme hypocrisy, or an extreme ignorance, or both. I would suggest that you start thinking for yourselves and learn your subject matter before you spout off any more ill thought out nonesense.
Wildey Moore, yes the borders were set. And you know what then happened? Israel was attacked in several wars by their "nice" neighbors. All the land which out of boundary was taken as a result of those wars.Israel was defending itself. If you do not want your land to be taken from you do not start the war. If you start the war, then it is a big a possibility you will lose and your land will be taken. That is the way of things, Wildey. Did not you know? Go Israel!!! Thank you for keeping is safe here in US by not letting terrorists take other. If some people so blind to see it it is their problem.
