Russia may become drawn into military conflicts as world powers begin to vie for energy resources in the next two decades, said Valery Gerasimov, the head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.

By 2030, the level of “existing and potential threats will significantly increase,” Gerasimov said during a security conference in Moscow, according to Interfax.

Leading world powers will soon begin to struggle for fuel, energy and labor resources, as well as new markets in which to sell their goods; some powers will “actively use their military potential,” he explained.

He also observed that the sphere of combat is moving away from traditional battlegrounds – such as land and sea – to aerospace and information. Conflict zones in North Africa and the Middle East point to such changes in the use of military force, the general said.

The role of non-military instruments is also increasing, including information wars, secret operations and the use of the “protest potential of a population,” Gerasimov said, adding that such non-military means are often more effective than the use of military power.

Given these challenges, Russia’s possession of state-of-the-art weaponry is a “vital condition for the country's existence,” Gerasimov said.

By 2015, the number of modern weapons and military hardware across Russia’s Armed Forces will reach at least 30 percent. And by the end of the decade, all guided missile brigades will be supplied with Iskander tactical missile systems.

However, priority is still being given to strategic nuclear forces to ensure deterrence, Gerasimov said. Russia plans to re-arm its nuclear arsenal with modern Topol-M and RS-24 Yars strategic missiles, new submarines, and modernized Tupolev Tu-160 and Tu-95MS bombers.

The current resource wars are now! And they are being fought with corruption, subversion,  propaganda, brainwashing and political correctness, not bombs & bullets.

We stern NGOs  in Russia are as dangerous as foreign military bases and share a common goal, rob Russians of their own free will.....Every Russian child that gets sold into adoption slavery, every Russian woman who thinks she can make more money abroad and gets sold into prostitution.....are casualties...

Has someone woken up from a decades old coma? RUSSIA, CHINA has ALREADY been drawn into resources Wars in Libya, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Somalia and AFGHANISTAN.

Russia 'may' be drawn into resources wars. In the 'future' there 'might' be resource wars.

Many common minerals and resources are dwindling and during the past decade China has been buying up national contracts and leases across South America, Latin America, Central America, North and West Africa as well as in Afghanistan and the Middle East not simply for Oil but farmlands, water, minerals and Uranium.

The Bush Family soured South, Latin and Central American nations to trade and alliance with America leading to Russia and China moving in to secure massive amounts of natural resources at fair prices. All to help their nations in the future which will definately weaken America as those global resources dwindle farther greatly driving up prices on many previously common minerals and natural resources the USA ciizens now take for granted.

The UK and EU-Zone lacking the financial backing to buy up huge national resource contracts in Africa are with the nod and wink of the Israeli/Obama White House inventing terrorist wars as they did in Libya to steal those nations Oil, Minerals and Uranium while destroying Chinese and Russian leases and contracts they had already made on the same.

China lost ten's of BILLIONS in contracts in Libya alone, is China and Russia going to just stand by and let the same happen over and over across Africa, the Arctic and inside the Chinese Security Zone islands?

The covert war to steal and destroy the existing Russian and Chinese natural resource contracts is all underway. Not later, not 10 years from now, NOW.

It remains to be seen what if anything China and Russia is going to do about it, the loser will be far weaker in the near future as those natural resources globally dry up and their nations citizens critically need them for many manufacturing and ways of life actions.

The satanically evil Zionists are waging covert wars NOW along with overt threats and blackmail against China and Russia to do anything about them. Either China and Russia mutually strike back or lay down and let Israel/USA/UK steal those resources for their nations citizens, I don't see any other choices that are availiable.
