President Vladimir Putin has put the blame for Russia’s defeat in the First World War on Bolsheviks’ policy that he called ‘national treason’.

Speaking in the Upper House of the Russian Parliament Putin said the Bolsheviks, especially the ruling elite of the party, betrayed Russia’s national interests and allowed Germany to win the war with Russia even though eventually Germany was defeated. The President added that Bolsheviks had been so reluctant to admit their mistakes that in the Soviet period the First World War was called “the Imperialist War” and the authorities deliberately ignored the heroism of Russian soldiers in art and propaganda. Putin added that in reality the First World War was not an imperialist one.

The topic was raised when the upper house discussed the possibility of funding the maintenance of the Russian necropolis in Serbia – the burial place of at least 3,000 Russians, including 124 generals of the Tsarist Army. Putin stressed he supported the idea to fund the monument.

President Putin traditionally opposes the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – the heirs to the CPSU, but at the same time he has called the breakup of the Soviet Union ‘the biggest geopolitical disaster of the century.” Recently Russia is taking steps against what it sees as the ‘revisionism of history’ – manipulations that question the universally accepted opinion on most questionable issues of the past.

The Bolsheviks had a plain when war broke out there plian was to slow down manufacturing and to make the product be in the worst quality. they sent men to the front to mack the the man be negative and the bolsheviks had funding from the Germany to end the war. the Germany even help Lein to get back to Russia in a war zone. the bolsheviks did not care about how many people die or wounded they wanted to be in power.

I cannot but be thrilled by the postings of comrades Eurasia and Tomasviliki .In this forum , todays acute and complex class struggles are inevitably reflected in the acute and complex philosophical contests between materialism and idealism and between dialectics and metaphysics.  You are staunch defenders of the noble ideas serving the interests of the working class.Putin's evaluation of the Bolsheviks in the WW1 context as treason  without doubt dents his revolutionary stature. This notwithstanding, compared with Gorby, Yeltsin and Medvedev ,when the rightist economic , military and political cudgel of NATO and the US are striking the working class of evry country , when it comes to taking resolute action against the bastion of capitalism, the US, Putin's contribution is greatest and deserves 9 out of 10 points.
The Russian proleteriat have lost state power and the aristocratic class now in power, who Putin apparently tries to appease by the pronouncement, invariably use idealism and metaphisics as the foundation for creating public opinion in their favour, especially with regards to the intended burial of Great Lenin's body.
