Political competition is an invariable condition for the development of the state, but it should be organized within the framework of law while every “extremist trick” must be punished, says President Vladimir Putin.

Activities of extremist organizations must be “most categorically suppressed,” he underlined during a collegium meeting at the Interior Ministry on Friday.

Addressing the participants, Putin said the immediate reaction should follow any manifestations of extremism, “be they coming from fans, nationalistic or radical opposing groups.”

He reminded that Russia has been reforming its political system and creating conditions for active political activities and competition.

For instance, thanks to laws adopted within the past year, the number of parties has skyrocketed. At the same time, the end of 2012 was marked by anti-government rallies, some of which ended with violent clashes between protesters and police.

"Political fighting, public discussions may be only in the framework of the law and the constitution, without breaching those, without undermining the bases of the state and society," Putin underlined.

The state must guarantee rights and freedoms for all citizens, he went on.“Therefore, I repeat – not a single extremist trick should escape with impunity.

Putin reiterated that xenophobia and national or religious hatred pose a threat to Russia’s integrity.

Why do some call Putin a dictator, harsh words from you about a man who have a vision and brought democracy to the right level. I am happy not the US democracy kind of. Is a person a dictator if he rules the house? There are rules and he sees that laws are enforced. You are not a dictator if you against homophilia, you have a view and enforce this. There is another worldwide lawbook forbid acts of homophilia, even punished by death, its the bible, this is GOD speaking. Who are you by the way?

Assange to White House staff: ‘Leak drone killing rules’
“That' s why we need organizations like WikiLeaks. I encourage anyone in the White House who has access to those rules and procedures, work them on over to us. We'll keep you secret and reveal [the drone killing rules] to the public,” Assange promised.
Julian Assange remains at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he has been since June 2012. He was granted asylum to avoid extradition to Sweden on sex crimes allegations. He has consistently maintained his innocence.
Assa nge’s lawyers believe that if Assange is extradited to Sweden, he would be automatically extradited further to the US, where he has been declared an enemy of state after publishing hundreds of thousands of classified diplomatic and military memos on the WikiLeaks website.
So far Britain has refused Julian Assange safe passage to Ecuador.

With all due respect, Mr. Putin:What we seem to have here is Mr. Assange! using an English Language Russian Newspaper sponsored by the Kremlin Itself; to Incite White House Staffers to Commit TREASON against THEIR OWN COUNTRY!!!!!!!!
N OW, apparently the LONDON POLICE are doing a good thing here. How POWERFUL IS Equador anyways???????
Do they have the Power to take on RUSSIA, THE UK, and THE USA; ALL AT THE SAME TIME????????
Now, I understand that Mr. Correa went to University Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and all that; and YES that is just about the Best Public University in the State of Illinois.
But, C'mon; are the USA/UK AND RUSSIA suppossed to BOW down to this TINY LITTLE COUNTRY on the EQUATOR???
And for WHAT?  May I ask????????

Well mr Putin, you seem to have violated the constitution and the sound democratical practices by running for the 3'd term as president, and "appointing" Medvedev in between terms.
Sounds pretty extremist and dictatorship-like to me. I hope you do the right thing by calling the police and reporting yourself.
