The head of the Eurasian military-political bloc CSTO says that the US military strike on Iran would cause a deep crisis in the surrounding region and far beyond.

The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Nikolay Bordyuzha said that the organization was strongly opposing the military strike on Iran and at the same time prepares to possible negative consequences.

“The position of the CSTO member countries concerning the possible attack of the USA on Iran is united and consists of the idea that no strikes should be made. If this happens, this will shake many and from all points of view,” Bordyuzha said.

The official added that the organization was making steps regarding the possible flow of refugees from the region, but so far these steps are not very active as CSTO leaders still hope that there will be no attack.

CSTO unites seven former Soviet republics, including Central Asian countries that border Iran. Bordyuzha has previously suggested that Iran could also join the bloc, but no steps have been made in this direction so far.

Again the invite is held out to Iran to become a potential member of SCTO. I would enjoy seeing Iran take up the offer. But only Iran knows what her neighbors will make of that move.
Iran leads with a calm hand, not wild jestures. If needed, one phone call buys the insurance plan. Maybe it is too soon or maybe it will provoke too many unstable minds into a panic response?
So many unknowns. It is my hope that sanity and peace prevail from new unions.

Why do some of you commenters here, think that you have any more rigths than the current leader of CSTO, to get your points of view in this or any other media-outlet? I really think that he is really more informed on the current world events, than most of us! And it's about time that other states, that belongs to other treaty organisations, mark their stance clear in this times of, at least in western media-outlets, there is an increasingly onesided information flow, that tries to convince it's citizens that the only right view is the USNato war solutions! Even though there are as we speak, more and more ordinary people that don't fall for this any more, and also some top brass military/politicians that realizes that more wars in that region, may have disasterous outcome! So it's just silly when some commentators here think that they know all the answers to the mess the world has gotten into!!!
