Moscow police have caught a Bond, but not the James Bond. A senior US embassy official named Bond was allegedly detained at an unauthorized opposition rally on Saturday in central Moscow.

The news comes from popular Russian blogger Norvezhsky Lesnoy, who caught the man waving his diplomatic ID at policemen on camera. It lists him as “R.K. Bond, Second Secretary, Vice-Consul of the  Embassy of the United States of America”.

The diplomatic ID close-up, rotated for sake of convenience.

He was reportedly detained along with over 50 other participants of the rally and was consequently released.

The US embassy in Moscow told RT that political officer Robert Bond was an observer, not a participant, at the demonstration. "The Embassy routinely sends Embassy officers to observe demonstrations, meetings and other political events. He was not arrested by the police,” the official comment reads.

Police say the rally was not authorized because a military festival had already been scheduled for the same place at the same time.

More than half of those detained are thought to be from the pro-Kremlin youth movement “The Young Russia”, who were trying to stop the demonstration.

That is routine CIA activity same type of intelligence-officers have bean seen in Serbia before Milosevic fell, as well as Ukraine and Moldavia whit it's "color-coded" revolutions. The "observer" or i would rather say instructor would lead the demonstration participants in subversive actions to gain maximum damage and media coverage (CNN,FOX,BBC) to the host Country. Conveniently the news reporter is always placed at a location where "suddenly a demonstrator" who by a thorough scenario usually provokes a brutal Police response by his hostile actions (usually not seen because they cut it away back in the studio) . Then they broadcast this lie across the World to discredit the Country involved. The scenario after that is very well known to all of us: demonization in world media, condemnations from NGO's (western sponsored whit in the country) U.S (state department)OSCE,UN,NATO then follows Economic Sanctions ultimatums, Warnings and Finally War and occupation of the country. This is the text book example how these so called "observers" work around the World.

I am suprised that Gary Kasparov didn't use the opportunity to make a performans, yelling in front of few of his followers. The Machinery (as Ibarruri put it) works with full capacity, while some western politicians talk about 'partnership' again. After Russia joined 'Partnership for Peace', the US and NATO did the worst they could to harm Russia. From etnic cleansing and massacres of Serbs (their allys) in whole of Yugoslavia ( supported and led by US), to Chechnya where they trained and armed terrorists including those of Beslan and Moscow theater, to Abkhazia and Osetia where Russian citizens were massacred just like Serbs, under US guidance again. Now they engage NGOs in a wide anti-Russian campaign falsifying history on the subject of WWII. Obama comes with a smile, and Russia allows that well known NGOs, the foreign governments Trojan horses. Beware of 'partnership', Moscow. Some people are better even as enemies, than as friends. During the Cold war there were no thousands of killed in Europe, right?
