‘Twisted’ truth in Ukraine, Labour ‘abandon’ workers, & Love Revolution (E174)

Afshin Rattansi goes underground on the war in Ukraine. Patrick Lancaster, a journalist working on the front lines, warns his footage his been ‘twisted and corrupted’ to fit the mainstream media narrative over Ukraine with separatist forces as the aggressors, but he says the truth is that ‘Ukrainian forces have decimated the civilian population.’ Peter Pinkney, president of the RMT, accuses Labour of having abandoned the working class, and says they should be fighting for renationalisation of the railways, better wages for workers, and more social housing – policies the Greens support, which is why he is standing for them as an MP. Lynne Franks, UK co-ordinator of One Billion Rising, explains the campaign to stop violence against women and children across the world. And we take a look at this week’s PMQs, with Cameron comparing himself to Churchill over Russian appeasement, and dodging questions over his appointment of former HSBC head Lord Green.
