Episode 043

Events are moving at a frantic pace in the USA but President Obama is increasingly looking as redundant as a Stonehenge pillar. The “go to” person of the moment is now Hillary Rodham Clinton shaping up for a re-match with the Bush Dynasty, this time taking on Jeb. Our good friend Stacy Herbert has been dodging the bullets fired by the increasingly militarised police over there in the US, and I'm glad to say she's back over here to tour the North American horizon with us on the Sputnik.

Douglas Carswell MP was not a household name in many houses other than his own; that is until now. By the simple and honorable step of crossing the floor of the House of Commons and resigning from parliament he is poised to win UKIP’s very first parliamentary seat. Nobody summed up the torpedos heading towards the government’s hull like Liam Halligan in the Tory’s own house journal, the Daily Telegraph, which is why we invited him on board Sputnik to discuss the reverberations of this sensational defection.
