Episode 010

This week saw the media descend on Jerusalem to cover the funeral of Ariel Sharon. With eulogies from Joe Biden and Tony Blair, Sputnik decided to take an alternative look at the ex-premier's legacy with Jeff Halper, an Israeli who is the very antithesis of the deceased premier known as ‘the bulldozer’. Founder of the Israeli Committee against House Demolitions, he fundraises all over the world for this noble cause and is rebuilding where others bulldoze.

And in part two, George and Gayatri are joined by Harry Fear, filmmaker and activist based in Gaza. No man could have failed to live up to his name quite so comprehensively. He braves bullet and shell while living in Gaza and stands on the front line alongside Palestinians taking pictures and shooting footage; you have to be fearless to do that.
