Episode 005

In this week’s show, Sputnik takes a look at Britain's relationship with Saudi Arabia, following an article by Patrick Cockburn in The Independent. Patrick, who is 2013 Foreign Correspondent of the Year, discusses his controversial view that mass murder in the Middle East is funded by “our friends” the Saudis.

Part 2 is dedicated to Nelson Mandela. Gayatri speaks with Peter Hain MP, a veteran anti-apartheid movement campaigner. She also talks to Esther Standford-Xosei, acclaimed pan-African reparationist about Nelson Mandela’s continuing legacy.
