The jobs to be created under Obama’s Jobs Act will not contribute to the American economy but will essentially freeload on the troubled US economy, argues economist Lew Rockwell.

“There are two sorts of jobs. There are real jobs in the private sector, where people actually do work that benefits society, when people are going to buy their products and improve the economy, and there are parasitical jobs, sort of anti-jobs, the government jobs, that actually subtract from social well-being,” claims Rockwell.

Obama’s employment crisis remedy resembles the one promoted by Franklin D. Roosevelt, which proved to be ineffective until WWII came to help the US out of the Great Depression.

“We have too much presidency worship in this country. There is too much emphasis on the president, and for that matter too much emphasis on the government,” he says. “We do not want them to unite because when they unite they do evil: they increase themselves and rip off the average guy.”

Americans would rather like the government to get out of the way, to have fewer regulations and taxes, while having less predatory governmental employees who are used to threaten citizens with violence every time.

“If you have been in Washington recently, they live very well in the imperial capital,” concludes Rockwell.

"Auki in his/her comment suggested that it would be better to spend government money on "welfare". But, this is the perfect recipe to create Lumpen-proletariat -- the category of citizens who doesn't want to work and never will!"

True, there is vast amounts of people on welfare who don't work, and don't want to work, but how about a pay upgrade (Or welfare upgrade) for every skill they get? Carpentry, electrician, plumber, etc... Now you are dangling a carrot.

The problem i have with non jobs, is the power they weild, these are goverment jobs, and so they normally come up with stupid laws to enact/enforce, and bother people with regulation that doesn't need to be there. The main problem is wealth being horded by the rich elite who have taken it out of circulation, although i like the freedom that comes with capitalism, i loathe the 'freedom to take whatever you can get' that also comes with it, and although i like the redistribution of wealth that's meant to come with socialism, i detest the goverment control and freedom it stiffles.

FAT CAT  (Part 5)The inflation of the 1970's was caused by the Vietnam Warand the Arab Oil Embargo; not by public-sector employment.  It was the fault of Paul Volcker and AlanGreenspan to blame inflation on aggregate worker wage levels; and seek tocelebrate and cause as much unemployment as possible.  Both with closing down factories and movingentire industries overseas, but also with removing employee protections, andseeking to reduce wages for employed workers; in spite of rising productivity.  This led to the culture of massively cuttingthe workforce and lowering employee salaries and wages; while givingstratospheric multi-million dollar bonuses to Chief Executives and the TopLayer of Management.   Cutting jobs and aggregate employment is notanti-inflationary ; because all the money these workers earn keeps the goods andservices businesses alive and flowing. All it does is bankrupt these companies as well, as nobody has any moneyto spend, so nothing gets produced, and no services can afford to bepurchased.  In other words, lowering aggregate supply and aggregatedemand together solves nothing, and the economy just continues to decline.  As long as aggregate supply increases withaggregate demand, there is no price inflation as the economy grows; actuallythere is disinflation over time, as companies and processes get more efficientover time, though Economies of Scale and moving forward along the Learning Curve.

There is a definite way to avoid the jobs problem. The first part of the problem is pride, if we just looked past all of our deep seeded nationalism. If we do that we now have to look at open boarders. With open boarder there is no reason not to find a job because you are no longer contained within one mass. For instance if I am trained as an engineer and there are no jobs to be found, I than could go to China or India for that job. The problem with this is how do you maintain things like roads, structures, etc? Solution, privatize those jobs. I used to think privatizing was terrible, until present times. I went to high school in a very, let's say "good ol' boy town". No use for their lack luster knowledge and to question there statements I would be chastised. Maybe if it was privatized the teachers would have to strive to keep there job, thus making it a competitive market.I dropped out of high school because of the fact teachers don't give a shit in your most necessary time to learn. If we have done all this jobs wont be a problem, GREED will!
