American Airlines AA211 from Manchester to JFK lands safely after declaring emergency

A flight from Manchester, England, to JFK in New York has been forced to turn around after declaring an “emergency” in mid-flight.

It is believed the flight was turned around due to a “maintenance issue.”

The American Airlines flight, which left 10.15am local time, has now landed in Manchester. The seven hour flight was supposed to land in New York on Friday afternoon.
