8 people shot at Brooklyn, NYC party

Eight people were wounded, one critically, in a shooting at a Brooklyn, New York, house party. Four men and four women were taken to a hospital.

Shots were heard at a party in a residential area around 1am local time on Sunday, a spokesman for the Deputy Commissioner for Public Information at the New York Police Department confirmed.

Police could not immediately comment on the identities of those hurt or the extent of their injuries. All were transported to Kings County Hospital and one of the victims has life-threatening injuries.

So far police have made no arrests.
