In this episode, Max Keiser and co-host Stacy Herbert discuss the tax-free-living Christine Lagarde, an unelected official, waving the flag for French banks while harassing Greek citizens while Silvio Berlusconi’s “pleasure chest” drives up the bunga bunga market. In the second half of the show, Max talks to Hugo Salinas Price, who appeals to Alexis Tsipras to propose bringing a silver standard to Greece.

Hugo Salinas Price is a visionary - and has the only plan that makes much sense.  Far better than extend and pretend on a banking system that is doomed to failure.  He is absolutely right that only a collapse will bring about conditions for reset that can actually work.  Mexico should be proud.

The concept of any currency based on precious metals is not only archaic but frankly dangerous because of the potential deflation it would cause. Deflation is just as dangerous as inflation and was the major cause of the economic disaster Europe found itself in in the 1930s.Again I go back to currency based on the Konstant based on a wide range of commodities. We basically want a money system that neither deflates or inflates more than 1%. We need sufficient of that currency to provide sustainable growth , yet protect savings and investment.Any takers?  I would like to hear some constructive comments from readers
PositiveMoney.or g.uk proprose such a system by returning money supply to 100% debt free government issuesd paper money (from the current 3%), the QUANTITY of which is controlled independantly (like the BoE MPC), being spent on infrastructure health & education, at a rate that keeps inflation at near 0%.

Mr Keiser, as an Economist Student myself in days long past, I have been amused and fascinated by your programmes, although heavily influenced by your 'leftish' attitude. However, I was somewhat annoyed and offended by your mocking of our Queen by yourself and your female associate, in the delivery of your thoughts on our fianancial woes. Particularly in her Jubilee year. You should display more respect when you are safely residing in our country. Try doing the same with Putin in Moscow eh?
