Freedom of the press is a fundamental human right that almost every country in the world claims to uphold. But despite these declarations, journalists can’t freely do their job are hunted in many places in the world. Oftentimes, countries that praise freedom of speech and force others to strictly follow it are the biggest violators. Why is this moral double standard tolerated? Is it possible to balance freedom of speech with other vital rights? We speak on this topic with OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Dunja Mijatovic.
